Governors have vowed to sue. Businesses have vowed not to comply. Now, new polling proves that a large majority of Americans have also rejected President Joe Biden’s new vaccine mandate.
Nearly 60% of Americans (58.6%) say that the president’s new mandates are unconstitutional, according to a new poll from the Trafalgar Group. What’s more, 55% of Americans say the mandate sets a dangerous precedent, and 56% say that state governors should fight back in courts.
“The numbers are clear: the American people passionately oppose Biden’s vaccine mandate and will not tolerate a President elected by the people acting like a dictator. Citizens promoting respect for the constitution know full well that this precedent will quickly lead to an end to our Republic and the beginning of an oppressive tyranny,” said Linda M. Brown, President of Respect the Constitution. “Our citizens stand squarely with courageous, principled governors who know this isn’t about health, science, or safety, it’s a political power grab.”
The Marxists hiding behind the label of Democrats believe Biden is making the right move, but Republicans and Independents strongly disagree. According to the poll, 68.2% of independent voters believe the mandate is unconstitutional and 83.5% of Republicans think the same. RTC believes the mandate will not survive judicial review in the courts.
Majorities of Independents also agree with Republicans that governors should fight back and that this mandate sets a dangerous precedent.
It’s also worth noting that the poll asks about the constitutionality of Biden’s mandate. Over 11% of respondents said they were “unsure” whether Biden’s mandate is constitutional, which is understandable given the complexity of constitutional law.
RTC asserts that the president does not have the power to unilaterally force millions of Americans to take the COVID-19 vaccine. Congress might have that power because they represent the American people, but the president certainly does not.
Biden’s tyrannical, unconstitutional mandate goes against everything our Founders fought to preserve. It supersedes state sovereignty, it obliterates self-governance, and it proves that the president wants to be a king.
